Application Procedure:

The Couch Family Foundation has a specific geographic focus (including regions of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont); therefore potential new grantees must submit a
Letter of Intent prior to submitting a full grant proposal to determine the appropriateness of the application.

A Foundation staff member is available to discuss prospective proposal ideas and assist organizations in the application process. Upon receipt of your lettor of intent the Foundation may request additional information from your organization. A representative from the Foundation will respond to your proposal within six weeks from receiving it.

Applications may be directed to new initiatives, special projects, enhancement of current projects/programs, an examination/impact-study of existing programs or internal capacity building support for the organization.
Funding requests must not exceed $10,000.00.

Include the following information with your
Letter of Intent:

  • Organizational operating budget for the current fiscal year including income (sources and amounts) and expenditures
  • Proposed budget for program or project
  • Board of Directors List
  • Audited financial statements (if available) for the most recent complete fiscal year
  • Copy of IRS 501 (c) 3 Determination Letter
  • Any additional materials to make the case (optional)
